On our journey to Ubud in Bali we were very blessed to stay at Padma Resort, the kind of resort that luxury dreams are made of. Padma Hotels have five different locations and each resort is as beautiful as the last and looking like they are straight out of a magazine. Whether it’s a romantic getaway, a honeymoon or a family break, this resort covers every walk of life.
We stayed in the Premier Room and it’s not only the name that will make you feel like royalty, the decor is absolutely stunning with hand carved wooden detail in the traditional Balinese style. Greeting us was a perfect towel scorpion for the Scorpio in me. There is also a private balcony overlooking the forest and a spa inspired en-suite. It’s the kind of room that you want to spend all your time in! We were especially pleased with our ‘His & Hers’ kimonos (as if the bath robes weren’t luxury enough).
We started our first morning with sunrise yoga, walking down to one of the lower levels below the pool we were greeted by mats, towels and water bottles as well as the most beautiful setting for morning yoga. After a calming session you can even head over to the Fitness Centre or the 1.5km Jogging track. For us however this was enough exercise for one morning and we were keen for the buffet breakfast with a view.
Breakfast consists of a buffet with many different choices from fruit to cooked and traditional Balinese, there is something for everyone. I could not resist loading up my plate with these yummy treats.
The Infinity pool is situated on the edge of the resort overlooking the iconic forest of Ubud. The many palm trees and pool bar give it an even more tropical feel and you can enjoy a drink while the sun is setting – or all day long as my partner did. It’s the first heated pool in Bali and because of this it creates stunning misty mornings.
The pool area is so vast that you never feel on top of anyone else. There are shallower parts for children as well as a separate pool and a Jacuzzi. I just loved how the pool looked as if it dropped off into the rainforest, a true tropical paradise. The coral swimsuit I’m wearing is by Salty Fox Australia, black swimsuit is by Auqua Swimwear.
When you are not enjoying the many facilities you can explore the grounds of Padma Resort, there is so much to see including stunning water features, fish and a beautiful temple. My dress, jacket & shorts are by Delphine The Label and were perfect for dinner and exploring the resort. Dining is a beautiful experience in a romantic setting, again it’s a mixture of traditional and western and you can even have the food brought to your room.
The SPA resembles some kind of ancient secret cave bringing allure to the experience. They offer a wide variety of treatments from traditional Balinese to world recognised. There is also a beautiful waterfall situated outside.
That concludes my post about the beautiful Padma Resort, when visiting Ubud you must stay at this resort – it is the definition of luxury. You can book online with the links I have provided below. A special thanks to the staff who were wonderful, especially management. I would also like to thank the resort for having me and I can’t wait to book in my next stay!
