“Tijili” refers to the rice goddess – Dewi Sri; a symbol of prosperity and fertility. This beautiful and modern hotel is located in the heart of Seminyak close to everything you could want. The hotel combines a blend of traditional and trendy styles which makes it very unique. This is apparent upon entry, from the fun logo outside to the quirky decor of the restaurant you won’t forget this beautiful hotel.
The eco-friendly design combines local materials with climbing plants to create a living wall. There is artwork littered everywhere and I found myself snapping away the whole time we were there. There are plenty of corners where you can sit privately and enjoy the space, they even have outdoor seating to watch the world go by.
The food is delicious and certainly high quality for the area, even the presentation was perfect. I would say it definitely ranks in the ‘gourmet’ section for me. I find food in popular areas of Bali can be very hit and miss however this food was better than most places I have been in Australia. If you don’t end up staying here definitely pop by for lunch.
There is a generous pool area which isn’t far from the bar (that’s what we like!) I love the lush green garden that surrounds the pool area giving a jungle-esque feel. Th hotel also provides these funky coloured towels to match the decor.
The rooms are clean and unique with an unusual arty touch. Every detail has been well thought out, outside the door you have a cog to turn for room service and the wardrobe door handles are sea horses!
That concludes my post abou Tijili Seminyak, I would love to return to this beautiful hotel on my next trip to Bali. The staff were amazing, especially the manager and we had a very warm welcome.
