Recently I took a trip with to the wonderful Sky Garden in London, located at 20 Fenchurch Street – a fairly new attraction, only opened in January 2015. At 155m high and with 37 stories it is officially London’s highest public garden and guess what? It’s absolutely free to visit.

Our trip was a family affair, which made it all the more enjoyable! What I liked about this attraction was that, because of the time slots, the viewing areas were not overcrowded. There is also plenty of free space to sit and relax including a cafe, restaurant and bar.

The views are stunning, unlike the shard which is a bit too high, the Sky Garden is on a great level to get a different perspective of many of the iconic London buildings. Time is of the essence though with the free slots lasting only one hour.

20 Fenchurch nicknamed the ‘Walkie-Talkie’ actually managed to melt part of a Jaguar car by reflecting the sun – shocking in England I know. This made it a bit of a laughing stock however, precautions were put in place to make it safe and it was permanently ‘cooled down’. The car was, of course, paid for by the developers.
